14 month fun!

 14 Months and fabulous!!….late again, I know!

We are in absolute Heaven right now with our little loves!!  Sweet babies are thriving and SO full of life, love, and joy!! They are running around like crazy, and learning new stuff everyday!  It's so incredible to watch them discovering so much, and they are still each so unique and different!  Love to see their personalities in the details, and it makes for a new journey each day with them-- never thought I'd say this being the control freak I usually am, but I love that we never know what each day will bring!!

Now that they are older,  very mobile, and easier to handle, our schedule has gotten pretty full hah!  Babies have been going to church, iBloom, parks, the mall, zoo, Astros game, parades, grocery shopping, football games, grandparents, etc.    I know I say it each month, but this REALLY is the most fun age so far!  They are just delightful!!

And mommy is loving that she gets to dabble in her other passion (teaching) again!-- I'm tutoring a few sweet kiddos in the evening (while daddy takes care of bath and bedtime! He cherishes that alone time with them, so sweet!) AND subbing once a week at my old school (which is amazing b/c I get to see my good friends all day, am 2 minutes from our house, and feel right at home there without all the extra work of a teacher!)  I truly feel blessed to have these opportunities to keep my "adult life", and stay mentally and socially stimulated, while still getting to be a FULL time mommy to my angels!!  God knows what he's doing, and always opens the right doors at the right time!

Favorite words/gestures:

A guest post from Da Da!

Promise i am ALMOST done with catching up on posts!!  This is a post from Timmy--my amazing partner, best friend, and most amazing daddy!!  Don't know how i'd have survived these past 12 months without all his support, love, dedication, and selflessness!  Love you!!

Big Poppa T-Bone's Blog Post

Well it has been a year...who would have thought that a year could go so fast! It has been a challenging, but amazing time. I couldn't imagine my life without these three little ones, and I don't think I would want to. Here are some of the things that I have learned through the first year...

  1. Sleep is one of the most precious things in this world. The first four months were by far the hardest. If we didn't have such an amazing family (especially our moms Carole and Julie...y'all are amazing!) I don't think I would be here today. I remember in college staying up all night, but it was ok because the next day I could sleep whenever I wanted...not so with triplets and a job!
  2. I am not made to change poopie diapers...unless Lauren, Carole, or my Mom aren't around. In that case I kinda have to, but I barely get through it.
  3. Bath time is the BEST time! These kids love to take a bath and I love having that special bonding time with them. It is hilarious to see them splash each other, fight over getting to the running faucet, and having a great time playing with their bath toys.
  4. My wife can tell when I am "fake sleeping" at 4:00 AM. With that being said...she is amazing at taking 99% of the morning shifts and never expecting anything in return.
  5. When people find out that I have year old triplets they usually say one of three phrases; "You don't look tired!", "Well, you don't have any grey hair.", and "Better you than me!" All I can say to these statements are that I am tired, but can't complain about it or show it because my superwoman wife never does. I eventually will have grey hair, and no I will not use color. And finally, yes, better me than you, because these kids light up my life like nothing else.
  6. Be careful what you try to teach them. You might think it is funny to bite their cheeks, or blow on their tummies....but when they start doing it to me...it isn't always funny!
  7. It is absolutely amazing that these kids came from the same parents. They are all so uniquely different and it is such a cool thing to see their individual personalities. Lance is very cautious, but likes adventure. Layton is a total goober and loves to laugh. Londy...well she is crazy! She is a firecracker and I can tell she will give me a run for my money...well deserved I guess. (I think you are going to get your wish, mom. I will have a child that gives me a harder time than I gave you!)
  8. My time...is their time. I was fortunate enough to grow up with great parents who gave the majority of their time to give us a great life. I now realize why they did/do it. I look forward to getting home and spending time with these kids. WHen I walk through the door and see three smiling faces...well there just isn't anything in this world that can beat that. Well, maybe four smiling faces...JUST KIDDING!! Three is plenty ...

Again, I want to thank all of our family and friends for making this first year such a special time. We couldn't have done it without you. These kids have to be the most loved and luckiest kids in the world because of you all. What a wonderful world!

ONE year Post! (way late i know!)

Oops, I did it again---WAY late with the post this time, sorry!  I just keep putting it off b/c the pictures have been taking forever, etc. and finally got some time this weekend while the babies were away!    Seriously cannot believe a year has gone by---it has TRULY been the absolute best year of our lives, and I couldn't ask for anything more!!  I wouldn't trade one second of our lives, even the insanity of the first few months, because these angels have given us the world we never knew we could have!!  I'm not going to get all sentimental, but babies when you read this 10 years from now, I just want you to know how incredibly and unconditionally loved you are by SO many people.  And to quote my Favorite musical..."because I know you, I have been changed for good"

Our house is SO full of energy now with them all walking so well (started at 11 months so they've mastered it by now!), talking up a storm (see words they say below), and exploring every nook and cranny of the house since we took ALL the gates down--well except the one blocking off their "wing" of the house!  (recently converted our guest bedroom to a "toddler toyroom" and they LOVE it--right next door to the nursery, so they have that whole area to themselves....well along with the kitchen, den, our room, bathrooms....hahahh you know what I mean don't you?!)

***quick sidenote before all the good stuff :)--The next post will be from a special guest blogger :)  so check back tomorrow, and then later in the week I'll post pictures of the Big birthday bash and recent trip with all the fam! Promise I'll get back on track!

11 months and walking!

OH MY GOODNESS what a FUN and crazy month it has been!!  With lots of fun events, a parade,  my sister's wedding (another post to come on that!), a yucky sickness that hit all 3 at once (eek!!), and family/friends visiting....we've had another awesome month of laughs and growth!!

Plus things have been really exciting around here lately with them walking!  YES, that's right!  We have 2 WALKERS already and it's so much fun to see!!
They all  have been crawling and climbing everywhere since 7-8 months, so we knew this time was coming, but not this soon ahh!  Londy took her first steps to Dee Dee the day before their 11 month bday, and has been picking up speed ever since hah!  She is ALL over the house, and loves to carry things (often 2 at once) while she walks around hah!  She has so much fun "delivering" stuffed animals or balls to people in the room--so cute!  Lance took his first steps earlier this week, but just started moving more at once last night. He'll be catching up to her in no time i bet hah! (well maybe not fast enough to catch her--londy is pretty crazy!)  Layton is standing and "cruising" around the furniture and with his walkers, so it won't be long!
We had these pics done at 10 months...their 1 year shoot will be later!

tried to get one with the "1" to use for invitations....by this time they had enough and just wanted bottles ha! oh well....

We had a fabulous time with both sides of our family on the 4th of July at the annual Lakesides Estates Parade!!  My Mother-in-law went all out in decorating the stroller  (and the babies!)--it was so cute!  We  even got 1st place in the parade, and a shout out on the News twice that night ha!  What a fun day with everyone we love!

babies didn't feel good for several days--fever, bumps, didn't want to eat!  Felt so sorry for my babies--plus bad timing right before the wedding!! They recovered just in time and were able to make it with only a few leftover scabs!

CeeCee brought them lots of "get well" gifts to make them feel better :)

londy loves standing up in the cart at Target

Here's a little "teaser" for pics of Ash's beautiful wedding!!  It was an amazing night!
More to come!

as usual...londy is taking their stuff!
happy lance after his first steps!

pushing around cheeto!
reading with Kell!

Hope you have a fabulous week!  LOVE YOU all!!
