drumroll please.....

Ok, after prompting from many people, I have finally given in and taken "bump" pictures!  I was waiting awhile, but after making several more maternity purchases this weekend (on top of all the really cute stuff mom already got me and the awesome hand-me-downs from ellie--thanks yall!) I realized it is time!    So here is me at 11 weeks...

WOWEEEEE!!!!

ok, before you judge that I'm already showing (most singleton pregnancies don't start to show until around 14 weeks), keep in mind that my uterus w/ 3 is actually 8-10 weeks ahead of normal (TMI I know sorry!)  According to the books i've been reading, I should probably be gaining more weight (some said 15 pounds by 10 weeks!  that didn't happen ha!), but the Dr said it seems to be ok for now....I'm eating a TON and of course can't workout AT ALL, so I'm sure the weight will come soon enough!

But for in case you can't see the bump yet (which is definitely there!), keep in mind this is what my poor tummy was before :

So on that note, i'll go try to find a dress that still fits for a wedding we have this afternoon...looks like a flowy one is in order!

Thanks so much to all of you for all the sweet emails, calls, and messages of encouragement.  I honestly can't tell you how much they mean to us, and we'd be lost without your prayers and support!

my bump and all,

a few things I know/ wish I knew...

As I'm approaching week 11, I was just thinking of some things that I've learned already, and quite a few that I wish I knew the answer to.
Here are some things I know....
- these babies will be loved and cherished by SO many people
-God is bigger than any of my fears
-my husband is even more selfless than I knew, and will become my best nurse
-we are surrounded by prayer warriors
-my mom will be the most valuable asset (already is, but especially when she moves in!)
-big t-shirts are the best until i can wear maternity clothes and not be obvious
-the pups are going to be so jealous...makes me sad to think about it already
-my sisters and close friends will be the most amazing aunts ever
-the triplets will have the best grandparents and great grandparents in the world!
-God led us to our new church (Grace), at the perfect time

Here is what I wish I knew....
-where my new found obsession with cheese (esp. mac'n'cheese) came from
-how to stay up past 9:00 or sleep past 5:00am
-how to stop shopping online for baby clothes...yes, already spent a few hundred, sadly no joke
-the sex of the babies!  (most are thinking 2 girls and a boy, but I've been shopping for 2boys and 1 girl)
-when I will have to stop working (hoping to make it through TAKS!)
-how to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and encouragement when I need it most!
-a good tv/dvd series or books to start once i'm on bedrest (any recommendations??)
-where to find preemie clothes (again, suggestions??)

Overall, I can't complain....not much nausea, no sickness, just a LOT of fatigue.  The hardest part right now is MAKING myself slow down and rest after work (along with the fact I can't work out at all....I mean not even yoga!  so weird!!)  I have another appointment next week, then move on to the specialists (Houston Perinatal Associates) starting the week after, so I'm sure I'll have more updates soon!

love you all,

SO crazy!!!

Well, this is my very first blog post EVER, so you'll have to excuse me for anything I do wrong!!  Where do I even begin, oh ya....with a picture!!

YEP---that's THREE babies in my tummy!!  We are 10 weeks with TRIPLETS!  These ultrasounds were from today, and all 3 were moving around like crazy and had super strong heartbeats!  That's all i wanted to hear...just that they were alive and kickin'!  Here are some other pics from today...

Let me go back to the beginning in case some of you are just joining the journey!  My husband and I live in Katy, and have been married almost 3 years.  I'm a 3rd grade teacher at an amazing school 2 miles from our house, and Tim works for Weatherford doing Business Development.  Our life is so sweet together--wonderful family all close by, faithful friends, and of course our little pups :)   Since we started dating in high school, we always knew we wanted a family of our own....just never knew we'd get it all in one shot!  Last August we found out we were expecting, but then went on to experience a heartbreak of a miscarriage in October.  Ever since then, so many amazing family and friends have been lifting us up in prayer, and I think we must have had SO many prayers going up that God gave us a triple blessing!  All I kept praying for during that time was a peace that could surpass all understanding, not a pregnancy or anything like that...just a peace.  And I truly believe God prepared my heart so much for this time around.  Don't get me wrong...I definitely have many worries and fears still, but overall he has continued to remind me to be still and know that He is God.  Thank you Lord for that comfort.

Since this is new to me, I'm going to make it short and sweet!  I will definitely try to be consistent in posting...that should be easier now that I have to really slow it down and stay on the couch most evenings after school!

sweet dreams....
